"The woods were silent, around the now crumbling tiny stone house, no animal or bird could be heard. She sat in the only room in the house, waiting, her back to the forest. She knew something was coming, something that wanted to take her forest away from her, to consume it, to devour it and its life and leave behind it nothingness. She could not let that happen.
In the distance the roar began to build, as it drew closer the sound grew punctuated by the crunching and splintering of the trees before the metal beast. It was time, these human interlopers would learn that sometime legends of a protected sacred grove were very much a reality."
In part inspired by my "Black Eyed Angel" piece, part out of an desire to try my hand again at photomanip, and part wanting try out the demo of Photoshop CS5 I just downloaded.
I started on this piece. by using a piece of stock bought from iStockphoto. Once I finished I struggled to come up with a title, but I settled on "As patient as the forest", not a perfect name but i think it does encapsulate the look of the figure, so I thought to help set the scene I would write the above couple of paragraphs to add a bit more (although my writing skills could do with some improvement
